Raffle Entry Sales

You can enter the KidsWish Raffle by making a paid purchase or by payment of a pledge to pay for entries. Tickets in the KidsWish Raffle are sold to residents of NSW, Queensland, Darwin/NT, ACT, Tasmania, and Victoria by telephone or on the websites kidswish.charityraffle.com.au, raffleresults.com.au or mycharityraffle.com.au.

Your purchase gives you entries in a specific KidsWish Raffle. There is also a single draw for a Book Buyers prize draw open to all entry buyers by purchasing 40 tickets in a one-time purchase or by subscribing to become a KidsWish Supporter Club Member and purchasing an accumulation of 40 tickets during the Raffle. KidsWish Supporters Club Members also participate in draws each month during the current Raffle.

Entries are mailed or emailed to you and validated for the draw after payment is received. Entry tickets may also be available at public venues sold by approved vendors.

We take care to sell to adults who understand the purchase and can provide payment. Where a purchase is made by a young person, by someone inclined to irresponsible gaming or by a vulnerable person we will happily refund the entry purchase sum if that person has not played in a game. We are unable to make refunds after a draw in the absence of exceptional circumstances.

Raffle Dates

The KidzWish Raffle dates and times are as notified above. Unless otherwise specified, all times listed are AEST or AEDT.

Entry Conditions

  • Entries are sold in bundles. If less than $30 is received, entries are $5 each.
  • Payments greater than the agreed price will be rounded down to the next bundle; if entries cannot be allocated with the balance, the excess will be accepted as a donation.
  • To participate in the draws, payment must be received before sales are closed.
  • Entrants must be 18 years of age and, if successful, be able to personally receive the prize in Australia. The website may bar entry to persons overseas or in Australian states where sales are not permitted.
  • You may enter more than once. A maximum of 500,000 entries (50,000 in ACT) are available for sale. Individual entry numbers may be denominated in integers larger than the maximum number of entries.
  • Management is not permitted to enter this Raffle.

Payment

Entries can be paid for with a payment card, cheque, direct debit, or available digital wallet. After registration with Westpac merchant processing, we may accept payment for subsequent purchases by resubmitting the registered reference number (you may decline this). Payments falling due on a weekend or public holiday may be submitted the day prior; declined payments are retried within five days.

To be eligible for a draw, payment must be made before the draw. Direct debit instructions must be received one week before the draw date to ensure payment completion. If your paid entry cannot be entered in a draw you will be entered in the next available Raffle. KidsWish accepts no responsibility for late or unreceived payments. You may purchase entries on more than one occasion and may be offered bonus or incentive entries.

KidsWish Supporters Club — KidsWish Supporter Membership

KidsWish Supporters Club members accept our invitation to join and receive entries in all raffles paid for automatically by making ongoing regular payments to KidsWish. Entries are allocated at the entry bundle rates from the total amount received during the Raffle campaign period before each major Raffle is drawn.

By joining, you authorise our service providers to automatically debit your payment card, nominated bank account or available digital wallet (e.g., Apple Pay) on the nominated basis. You may make advance payments for up to one year’s raffles, up to a maximum of $600 per Raffle. You may cancel or amend your support level at any time prior to the next payment.

We may contact you regarding future raffles. At joining, we may ask you to automatically increase your support by up to $5 each month starting after the annual anniversary of joining. We will not increase your support within 6 months of joining or any other increase. You can opt out of any notified increase before or after it occurs.

Draws and Notifications

The raffle draws will take place at the draw location. In the draw for the prize winners, the major prize will be drawn first, and the other prizes drawn in descending order of prize value. A winner and all entries can win again in each further prize draw for which the entrant is eligible.

Results and any issues delivering a prize will be published as soon as possible, including on the first business day after the draw at kidswish.charityraffle.com.au, mycharityraffle.com.au and raffleresults.com.au.

Subject to permit rules, unclaimed prizes will be retained for 21 days (or as required by state permit rules) while the winner is notified or located. If the original prize winner cannot be located, a replacement winner will be drawn from the original pool of valid entries on the redraw date and then given 7 calendar days to respond; if not, the process will be repeated immediately. The redraw will take place at the draw location.

Bonus Games

During any KidsWish Raffle fundraising campaign, Insight may offer additional entries as part of a KidsWish entry purchase on specific conditions (e.g., Trade Promotion lottery rules) to promote a KidsWish Raffle alone or with other charity fundraising games. For example, $80 buyers may be allocated a free entry and those who previously made that purchase will be allocated entries. Particulars of any bonus game will be posted as an addendum to these conditions with a link to full terms. We may not directly notify you of bonus allocations.

You can make a donation to KidsWish Ltd instead of or in addition to purchase. Donations are tax deductible for payments over $2 due to KidsWish’s DGR status. A receipt will be issued for donations greater than $20.

Fundraising Service Provider

There is an agreement with Insight Holdings Consolidated Pty Ltd (ACN 111 803 475) to promote or conduct this Raffle for reward. KidsWish bears no costs of conducting the Raffle. Fundraising services are provided by Insight Holdings Consolidated Pty Ltd of 5.02 / 241 Commonwealth St, Surry Hills NSW 2010. Phone 1300 365 896 • Email c.service@insightcfs.com.au • Web insightfundraising.com.au, which receives not more than 60% of the gross proceeds from which it meets all the prize, call centre, fulfilment and other approved costs.

Changes To The Draw

We reserve the right, in our absolute discretion, to cancel or postpone any draw or series of draws, to recommence them and to change the Raffle game, including by refunding payments in undrawn games, changing the Raffle rules, altering the prizes or changing the Raffle Draw schedule, where necessary to protect the operation of the Raffle.

We may change or cancel current or future draws, including recommencing them on new conditions, in the event of interference by an outside agent or event (e.g., vandalism, power failures, tempests, pandemic, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, atomic war, invasion, strike) that adversely impacts sales processes, revenue objectives or conduct of the Raffle. Any change will be notified on our Raffle website.

Nothing in this clause limits or alters your rights to consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.

Raffle Privacy Policy — Collection Statement

KidsWish Limited and Insight Holdings Consolidated Pty Ltd collect your personal information at kidswish.charityraffle.com.au, in person, and over the phone to contact you to seek your support for Raffle participation and to administer your participation in draws for prizes. Funds raised are used to support children living with disability or illness and their families by KidsWish Ltd.

Data we receive is kept securely in encrypted form in secured, backed-up servers. Banks, mail house, and other suppliers receive your information to provide services. If you do not provide contact information, we cannot include you in the draw or provide our services.

Supporter personal information is not sent overseas for our work, but that may occur in the future under supervised conditions. If that change occurs, this policy will be updated.
